The United Arab Emirates has introduced a new fast-track business licensing initiative to accelerate foreign investment and support international entrepreneurs entering the market. Spearheaded by the Ministry of Economy, the system aims to reduce license approval time to just three working days.

Streamlined Process for Global Investors

Under the new policy, international investors and entrepreneurs can now benefit from:

  • Simplified documentation requirements

  • Integrated digital platform for application, payment, and approvals

  • Pre-approval support via online consultation services

  • Licensing available in over 2,000 activities, including tech, trade, tourism, and consultancy

The initiative aligns with the UAE’s broader efforts to attract FDI and support global business expansion through flexible regulatory frameworks and competitive incentives.

“We are removing barriers for entrepreneurs and offering a welcoming, transparent, and fast entry into the UAE economy,” said Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy.

Key Highlights

  • Eligibility: Open to foreign individuals and companies from all countries

  • Processing Time: 3 working days

  • No local sponsor required in designated free zones

  • Digital verification via UAE Pass or authorized representatives

  • Multi-language support for application portals

Strategic Impact

This reform is part of the UAE’s ongoing shift toward becoming a global hub for entrepreneurship, especially in sectors like fintech, e-commerce, green technology, and international trade.

Business setup experts predict a surge in SME registrations from Asia, Africa, and Europe due to the eased regulations.
